The technical parameters that shall be controlled and monitored in any farm, in order to secure optimum climate conditions and animal comfort level are the following:
- Temperature
- Relative Humidity
- Ventilation
- Illumination
The technical parameter values mentioned above will vary depending on animal type and age. Hence, every climate control project will need and specific tailor made analysis in order to achieve maximum efficiency and therefore increase the farm productivity.
Ficlaho S.L. has been investing in continuous research and development in order to achieve a very competitive evaporative cooling system composed of our FICFOG atomising spray nozzles technology.
On top of our cooling experience, we are please to offer you all our experience in delivering turn key project solutions from design through execution in the areas of cooling and ventilation for the following type of farms:
- Poultry farms: broilers, ducks, chickens, turkeys etc.
- Hen farms: laying hens, reproductive hens etc.
- Pig farms
- Cattle farms: sheep, goats etc.
- Rabbit farms: hare, rabbits, pika etc.
There are three options for ventilating a farm:
- Natural ventilation
- Exhaust forced ventilation
- Inlet impulsion forced ventilation
Due to the wind chill effect that ventilation causes in animals, it is very important to design a tailor made ventilation system in the farm, where a large number of technical parameters must be tackled such as: air speed at gutter and ground level, location of the fans within the farm, vacuum generated within the farm, number of fans, fan power and activation and deactivation via the climate control programmer.
Once the ventilation system has been designed and selected, the most suitable FICFOG evaporative cooling system must be dealt with. Find listed below the various FICFOG installation types:
- Fixed FICFOG atomising nozzle pipes/lines strategically placed in the farm window air intake
- FICFOG nozzles coupled to fixed air impulsion fans.
- FICFOG nozzles coupled to oscillating air impulsion fans.

The innovative FICFOG technology allows the farmer to more efficiently diminish temperature within the farm, with little maintenance due to the no clogging of the nozzles, hence maximising energy savings and increasing productivity to your farms.
Find below the various FICFOG applications to your farm:
CLIMATE CONTROL
- Homogeneous and stable cooling: up to 15ºC of temperature drop.
- Increase of any level of relative humidity when required.
VACCINATION, TREATMENT APPLICATION etc.
- 100% homogeneous and automated vaccination or any product dissolved in water
- Disinfection of any product soluble in water.

| FICFOG system competitive advantages |

The main FICFOG system competitive advantages in farms are the following:
Maximum energy savings and increased productivity due to low water pressure (2bar through 6bar) and low compressed air pressure (1bar through 2,5bar) mix.
FICFOG spray nozzle liquid flow rate (2ltr/h through 10ltr/h) and droplet size (5microns through 100microns) can be adjusted at any time, simply by regulating the liquid pressure at main liquid pump exit.
Micronising fog-distance up to 8 meters, resulting in a better and quicker homogenisation and hence a more effective cooling result in the farm.
Little maintenance of the system and no clogging (0%) occur at the FICFOG atomising nozzle regardless of the product micronised through the nozzles. This is due to the wide external FICFOG orifice (both 0,8mm and 1mm orifices available).
Important Remark: the 0,8mm external orifice FICFOG nozzle has a section 16 times larger than the section of a 0,2mm external orifice high pressure nozzle.
Easy mounting process. The FICFOG nozzle can be connected to any flexible and/or rigid air and liquid feeding pipes via clamps, direct connection, micro-tube etc.
The FICFOG spray nozzles are made out of the top quality polymers, which resist any chemical attack and temperature exposure.
Low energy consumption: approximately a power consumption of 6Kw in a 120m x 12m farm.
